Installation Instructions

This product was developed at the request of the then INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service), which was largest federal law enforcement agency in the country, to solve the problem of trigger spring breakage in their duty weapons.  After more than a year of development and tens of thousands of rounds of punishing testing by INS and Wolff Gunsprings, we are pleased top make this available to everyone. This product is a must for law enforcement as well as the serious shooter.

This coil spring trigger return unit requires no modifications at all to the pistol other than the removal of the factory trigger spring.  The main benefit of this unit is the elimination of trigger spring breakage. Additional features include smoother trigger pulls and improved staging.  This units make an already fine pistol even better!

The components are custom manufactured for Wolff Gunsprings to exacting standards.  The coil spring of course is manufactured by us to our normal high standards.  The cam and pin are coated with Robar's NP3® finish for improved lubricity.  Each unit is then hand assembled and inspected before delivery.

We are offering three variations of the unit.  The INS unit which is essentially equivalent to factory strength.  A reduced power unit for lighter pulls and an extra power unit for faster, crisper returns.  This is the product you have been waiting for to enhance your Beretta 92 or 96 series pistol.

PLEASE NOTE:
Will not function in Beretta 92A1 or any model 92/96 pistols with polymer triggers. Will not fit newer Taurus models due to design changes in these pistols.

Recoil Springs for Beretta 92 and 96 series pistols. Springs are available with load-rated specifications to tailor the recoil function to individual needs. Each load-rated recoil spring pak includes an extra power firing pin spring.

Please Note: For use in new Models 92A1 & 96A1 with captive recoil spring and polymer guide rod. A Wolff guide rod is recommended for ease of installation

• Factory Standard.: 14 Lb.

Stock No. 13190 - Recoil Calibration Pak - Extra Power. For Beretta 92/96 Full Size. Contains 1 each extra power recoil springs in 15, 16, 18 and 20 pounds. Three extra power firing pin springs are also included.

Stock No. 13212 - Recoil Calibration Pak - Reduced Power. For Beretta 92/96 Full Size. Contains 1 each reduced power recoil springs in 9, 10, 11 and 12 pounds. Three extra power firing pin springs are also included.

Stock No. 14030 - Performance Pak. For Beretta 92/96 Full Size. Contains 1 each 10 Lb. reduced power recoil spring, 15 Lb. extra power recoil spring, extra power firing pin spring and 18 Lb. reduced power hammer spring.

 

Wolff guide rods for Beretta 92 & 96 series pistols are a precision, hi-quality one piece steel quide rod. Designed for optimum performance they replace the standard factory 2-piece guide metal rods and the new plastic guide rods used in all newer Beretta pistols.  Rods are hardened to a minimum RC-55 for durability. Available in black or bright polished finished.

Please Note: Not for use in new Model 92A-1 and 96A-1 with captive recoil springs as a stand alone. Requires a Wolff recoil spring to function.

Hammer Spring Pak - reduced power. Contains 1 each of 16, 17, 18 and 19 pound reduced power hammer springs listed above, allowing adjustment of the firearm to individual requirements.

Wolff extra power magazine springs for Beretta 92, 96 & Centurion pistol restore function in magazines with weakened and worn springs restoring and improving overall function. 9mm spring are available for 15 and 17 round magazines.

We have changed the design of these springs by adding additional length to the leg that engages the slide lock.  This prevents the very common problem of the spring jumping off the slide lock during installation.
